I have two HD's in my clone, one is an old 9.1G Micropolis that has a termination problem, or so I suspect.

The diagram in the above link led me to think that I should set jumpers at W1 and W4. I still seem to have a termination problem, as OS X verbose boot mode gives me the error.

Can some of you better informed folk ou there lend a hand? If I get this fixed, I'll have OS X on a upgraded Power Tower Pro....

Are they terminated?

The cable is terminated, the drives are terminated by the jumpers.

Or at least that is what I think.

The way I read your link, you want W2 and maybe W4.
The MoBo provides "term power", hence W2.
If the Micropolis is the first drive on the internal ribbon, W4 is unnecessary, MoBo takes care of the first device. Use W4 for the last drive on the internal ribbon.

General rule for SCSI I've used for years is first and last on a chain. That's Physical location on the cable/chain, not address.

Do you have a G3 card installed and Sonnet's OS X update? If not, that could cause boot issues.
