I get a message periodically that I should upgrade some software. Tonight I did...the program dialed my modem and I got a panel: "Software update checks for new and updated versions of your software based on info about your computer and current software." I downloaded. My question is: who knows what software I have on my computer and how do they know? (Performa 6400...that I have had a few years)
