When i get in to mutiple users and selected voiceprint and clicked record first It says Error -230.

In looking up the error code with the freeware Bombs away utility. I found the following:

Error name:
silnputDeviceErr

Error Type:
Sound Manager Errors

Description:
Input Device Hardware Failure

Are you sure you are using a "plain talk" microphone that is "Working?" In addition, I did find my old PM6400 seriously underpowered for most speech features with OS9. I did get voice print to work, but just barely…

Whoops… I see that you may not necessarily have the 6400. I was looking at the MacNN headlines with a number of forum questions when I found your query.
