I want to install the free version of Pro tools from digidesign but I don't know if it can run on the Power Mac 7300. If anyone knows something about this please reply.

Should run just fine. It likes lot of RAM and Drive space, but you shouldn't have any problems. You're limited to the line in and line out ports unless you add an audio card, but those work fine. It's a nice piece of software.
