6500 where is ethernet port?

Where is ethernet port on a powermac 6500?

I would think your 6500 is like that of my 6400, wherein, you need to add an 10 base T/100 ethernet card in one of your PCI slots. It will port from one of your removable covered slots on the rear of your logic board which also slides conveniently out with the removal of just two screws.

You can also buy a Comm Slot II card and save your precious PCI slots. They cost about $80. Check your manual.

You certainly could use a Comm Slot II card, like drewman sais, but only if you don't mind getting rid of your modem (assuming you have one in that slot already.)

I have a 6500/300 and when I got cable internet service they had to install an ethernet card. The slots are there for it.
