I fried the motherboard in my Performa 6400/180, adjusting the postion of it (ethernet cable was sticking out), while a PCI ethernet card just popped out of its socket, along with the board from the back of the system.
Where would I be able to find a cheap replacement board? I checked eBay, the cost of a board is about the same cost as a whole used system with a 180 processor. Should I be able to use the RAM I added on that old board to the new board I get? In other words should the ram still be fine after the computer just boots up with a gray screen (can't boot off a CD either)?
