booting into LinuxPPC 2000 on 5500/250

I downloaded LinuxPPC 2000 and burned it to CD - I can boot into it from my G4-400 with OS 9 but I can't boot into it from my 5500/250 with OS 9... It just gives me the 'flashing ? on the disk' (something I have seen all too many times)...
Any ideas how to boot into it, or what might be wrong?

Perhap you may like to try using this http://ftp.linuxppc.org/ftp/linuxppc...PC_1999_Q3.bin to boot the Mac into Linux and install from the CD.
