Hello... A co-worker of mine has a Performa 4200 at home and she recently bought a USB printer, not knowing that it wasn't compatible with her old Mac (which has serial ports only).

I suggested that she buy a USB PCI card (Keyspan sells one for 39 bucks), but since I know nothing about the Performa line, I don't know if they have PCI slots or have the old NuBus slots.

I've looked around a bit on Apple's web site but didn't find anything helpful... Is there a Performa specialist out there who could help me out? Thanks!!!

What's a 4200? Are you sure it's not a 5200?

You're more than likely refering to the 5200 or 6200 Performa models, which no, don't have any PCI slots. Upgrading to USB on these machines is not avilable as of yet.
