I am selling a 128mb low profile dimm which i previously used in my ibook..
Ive had interest from a buyer who owns a powermac that he said is 4-5 years old.
What model is it likely to be and will it use sdram? And if so, will it be able to accept my dimm?

I somehow doubt it if he is looking to put it into a 4-5 year old PowerMac. Those computers used 168-pin FPM or EDO DIMMs (depending on the model), you're selling either a PC-66 or PC-100 144-pin SO-DIMM. Just aren't compatible, as far as I know.
Cheers!
Chris

thanks chris.
I found it difficult obtaining info on older powermacs from the apple website.
Do you think his machine would be a g3?
One more bit of info I can add is that it is a whole piece machine, similar to an imac with a built in monitor.
1997 model he said.[/LIST]

Check Other World Computing. They have a nice database for finding out what RAM is used in a particular machine.
Also, LowEnd Mac also has a good database of older macintosh models...

The first G3 system shipped in late 1997, so it is possible. If you're looking for information about older Macintosh computers check out:
http://www.everymac.com .
This site is excellent.
Cheers!
