Why do they have such a messed up setup? I end up with like 3 programs running, I tried to run two at once and I got two icons in the dock, one agent and one control app, but they don't correspond to each other. Why can't they just make this a single, simple GUI app. And then maybe a 2nd simple single CLI app?

Their web site is so neat and trimmed though, especially compared to dnet's. To have such a 'hacked' type of app, doesn't make sense. And from what they said in that other post, the core is written in native code, and the java just controls things? They couldn't have taken the extra time to make the controls into the one single app itself?

By seperating the app from the viewing agent, it makes the actual app processing data more efficient. Actually I wish they had done it like they did with Linux, where there is a simple basic screen that shows progress in text and numbers without the graphics, although a simple button will bring up the viewing agent if you want to see it. It is a very clean and effecient interface, but only used on the Linux version. I think they are just having trouble finding really good Mac programmers. Still the Mac version is much faster then the Windows version, and performance wise, almost on par with Linux. This is an early version also so don't hesitate to make positive suggestions in their forum. Ken over there is pretty good at monitoring the forums and passing on suggestions for future client development to the actual developers. And if enough people request it, maybe we can get better multi-processor support as well.
