For the whooping sum of $39 at a public school auction, I picked up:

1 PowerMac 5500/225
1 PowerMac 6100/66
1 PowerMac 5200/75LC
2 PowerMac 5260/120
3 PowerMac 5260/100

The plan:

A PPC-flavored linux to run CLI SETI or rc5.

Electricity costs? Electricity here is cheaper than almost anywhere else in the US.

If you can find some clustering software that'll work with those, you'll have +/- 500MZ G3. Not to useful by themselves, but together, you can't beat that price.
