First, yes this is mod approved as being here and not in buy/sell, and I checked with the buy/sell mod too

I have for sale:
athlon xp 1700 (retail), ECS K7S5A (onboard NIC), 256MB crucial DDR2100, and a volcano 6cu HSF. $180 -- SOLD

Athlon Thunderbird 1GHz, FIC mobo - uses PC133 (unknown, but pretty nice), volcano 6cu HSF.
$70 -- PENDING

Athlon Thunderbird 900MHz, MSI mobo K7T pro2 - uses PC133.
$60

I am willing to negotiate (a little)
Prices do not include shipping, which will be UPS, with insurance.

I HAVE to sell now, and I do need $300 (see, I left $10 to negotiate). If my prices really are too high, I will be willing to go lower, but I'd rather it be if you need some other thing to go with it, ask, I might have it (I am inventorying this weekend for the big sale).

They all make good farm boxes, 2 of them are in operation now, 1 was recently retired.

Post here or email me if you are interested.

Thx,

Scott

What is listed is included, what isn't listed isn't included. Unless you ask for it and I have it.

That 1Ghz combo sounds like a great deal, but let me think about it for another day or so.

Can you provide some info on the mobo or amount of RAM? Do you know if it works well with Linux? Built-in video? ATX?

Ok, I did some digging, and managed to find out about the mobo.

I didn't list ram because I am not planning on selling any. I really have no excess PC133, just some PC66, and you really don't want that. I think I will have a 256 free in 2 weeks or so, but it's a maybe, and I don't know if it is 100 or 133.
In other words, I am probably not who you want to try and get ram from.

Tbird 1GHz is now pending.

naprestsleep, still interested in the 1700?

Some history about the 900.
That was the mobo and proc from the first system I bought for DC purposes, and it is also what I started learning linux on. Now look where it got me
Hopefully these will sell in the next day.

Have you still got the 900 Athlon and MSI MoBo? Email me onemacguy@hotmail.com if you still want to sell it. I may be interested? Is it a socketed or slotted Athlon?

I've got the 1Ghz Athlon and FIC Mobo all set up. So far it's woking great with my other components. Even the PCI Voodoo3 video.

Just one more question. When it starts up it does report 1GHz as the CPU speed, but as 100MHzX10, and not 133MHzx7.5. When you ran it was it a 100Mhz or 133Mhz mainbus? My guess is that is was 100, since the multiplier is set by the CPU and that doesn't change unless one hacks it. I also guess that if I set it to 133Mhz, then the CPU would run at 1.333Ghz which would likely kill it over time.

Set the ram to 133MHz.
The FSB is 100MHz*2, and the ram is 133MHz.
Setting the ram to 133 won't OC the proc. Just make sure you put PC133 ram in there.
