I'm looking into redoing how the internet part of my network is setup.
This will require me to reconfigure my router and server, which means an outage.
I don't yet know when it's going to happen, I still have 4 unanswered questions (cisco gear is not as friendly as I'd like). Once I get those answers I'll be able to rebuild the network. This could take anywhere from half an hour to 4 hours, maybe even longer (I really hope not) depending on whether I get it all right the first time.
Also, between now and then I will have a few little outages (2-10 mins) as I tinker with the network.
I will post info on about when it will happen once I know. Hopefully it will be sometime between tomorrow evening and sunday evening, if not, it will probably be tuesday afternoon.
Everything that I host will be offline during that time. This includes teamstats and both proxies, along with the beta website. Also offline will be all my personal stuff, including email, so if you try and email me and it bounces back, just wait.
For anyone who actually cares what I'm doing, I'm going to move from having my linux machine function as my gateway to having my cisco DSL router fuction as the gateway and only forward certain ports to the server. This will hopefully make it easier to run multiple web facing servers without the current mess I have (and yes reader50, it will let you have direct ftp to the new stats server).
If anyone happens to be pretty good with cisco's CBOS and would be willing to answer a few questions, please post here or email me, I could use the help.
