It's going to be a few weeks before it's ready to go. I have an older Soyo DDR motherboard with an Athlon 900 on it, a Radeon DDR 32 (a no-fan version!), and a sound blaster compatible s/c all wasting away and collecting dust.

I read a cool article that suggested this easy-to-install version of Linux that even I could install. It comes with some decent software, too.

Anyways, since this will be a third 'puter, it'll be free to crunch and munch all day and night. I might need a little help getting the program up and running. Any suggestions as to which @home I should dedicate this thing to?

BTW, here's the OS I ordered. It'll be available/delivered in a coupla weeks:

SuSE Linux 8.2
iBook 800 combo, 640MB, X.2.8

or you could have downloaded it for free, provided you had the connection capable to do it.

I have heard good things about Suse for ease of use. I myself have used Mandrake Linux but I understand that Suse is just as easy. If that is the case initial instalation should be very easy, and you probably won't have much difficulty getting it up and running on your own. Of course if you want to really tweak or optimize it, then I know there are plenty of linux guru's here who can help. (I am not one of them).
