Here is an interesting D2OL article from Wired magazine -- http://www.wired.com/news/medtech/0,1286,58678,00.html It explains what is currently being done, and how it is being used. Also of note, the D2OL network has been undergoing significant upgrades, and new clients are due to be released to address the problem of "bad candidates" freezing the clients.

The wired article and a thread over at Slashdot- http://science.slashdot.org/article....4&tid=191, seem to have given the project a badly needed jumpstart.

Thanks to DrBoar and soarhevn, there is still an active MacNN team, and amazingly we are still ranked #9 overall.

patito and BlazesBoylan have also recently joined the effort. Hmm! maybe I'll move my iBook back over there, since it does poorly at Folding@Home and won't benefit from Gromacs.
