Go get the new RC5-72 client (484). There are a bunch of new cores for older proccesors and the altivec cores have been optimized even more. I get an additional 500kkeys/s for the 7400 core. The stall bug for the 7450 has been also fixed in this release.

FWIW, the new client appears to be even slightly better optimized than the RC5-64 client was. I'm getting 10.54 Mkeys per processor on my Dual gig, which is just a tad faster than what I ever got with RC5-64. Overall, got 21.2 Mkeys a sec. when I left it running in Console mode last night. G4 450 is getting right at 4 Mkeys a sec.

Anybody running RC5 on a Dual 1.42 yet?

It is interesting that IBM provided an estimated RC5-64 benchmark on the 1.8ghz 970 last fall. I seem to recall it was around 18 Mkeys plus (single processor) and that would have been for a client/core that probably wasn't optimized for it.

Hmmm! I wonder what OS that estimate was based upon?
