So is there some reason that I am missing that
there is virtually no one running the d fold cli
for mac nn.

Most of the top producers in dFold have moved to FAH. Where we are soon to have a race, and make a run at a few teams.
For me it is about passing some of the other mac teams, we should not be the #4 mac team But I think we will change that soon enough

Then maybe the team should choose ONE

We like having multiple projects because it allows Team MacNN members to put their efforts into projects that they believe in or that fits their computing needs.
While we may not be known as the best team in any one project (except Ubero) we are well known across the distributed computing community (unlike, say UberoUno which only does Ubero).

Nope. This team allows each person to decide which DC project they want to donate there CPU cycles to and everyone efforts are appreciated toward the total team effort.
I prefer to donate my time and resource the d-fold and f@h because the research from the may help people I do and do not know in the future.
I moved from d-fold to f@h because a bad client was released and I won't waste cpu cycles on bad clients when another dc project has a good clent.
You will see all of use move from one project to another as we desire. That and because we like to pick on each other in a friendly way in order to make every project a race with those in our processing bracket.

Most of our people (and a lot of others from what I can see) left dFold when they screwed up and released a bad client that trashed a lot of work for a lot of people. I was really building up in dFold when they pulled that one. It takes a lot of work to reload all of those clients when they get screwed up.
As if that wasn't bad enough, they did it again this week. I was on the fence about moving until then. Unfortunately, their program is run on a shoe string budget and they have no quality control for their client software. Every update that they have done since I started with them has been botched. And to top it all off, there is yet another one due next week!
I have some machines behind a firewall that will not work with F@Home, the rest are moving as fast as I can get to them. Too bad, I really like their project better.

It is really sad to hear that d-fold messed up again. The client changes of the past went really well. The management or research team must have changed hands. Hopefully they will get their act together again 'cause I like the way it was run before. The listened to the DC people and kept everyone informed.
But for now I just and to kick some white dogs! ( Team LWD )
