what's the address for the seti proxy server that is set up for our team? I had to reinstall everything on my machine and can't remember the settings. I'm not sure if the main server is down or not because I haven't been able to connect through it or the proxy for a few days now. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong or not. thanks for any help.

I do not remember the address of the SETI proxy server, but there is not much need to use it anymore. It was only really useful when the main server was having serious bandwidth problems last year. I would try not using it first.

Here is a status from the SETI main page:

— August 22, 2003 —
One of the four CPUs on the main data server malfunctioned this morning, causing several crashes. We have pulled the bad CPU out of the system. A replacement from Sun should be arriving later today. We will need to have another outage to install the new CPU.

I would guess that you got caught in one of the outages that they had, sounds like you should just try again without the proxy.
