Okay, I have heard that we have a member of our team who may have a G5 of their own, but don't know how to contact them directly.
I am on the beta team for the new (v2.0) TSC/D2OL client. The new client is shaping up nicely, but it hasn't been tested on a G5 (or an opteron for that matter). What I am looking for is that elusive someone who might be willing to run a quick test of the beta client on a G5 or an Opteron, to see how it does. Basically just someone to download the client and run it for a couple of hours to see if there are any problems.

If you want to benchmark it too, I will also provide some beta node info you can measure against, but for now all I am really interested in is if it will install and run properly, upload and download work units and report stats. The beta test work units go quickly, so an hour or two at most, is all that is needed.
