How many of you work on other people's computers and do not charge them anything? Most of us do, to some extent, some more than others! Here is an idea that I use from that angle.
When I work on someone's computer and it I know it is going to be a freebie, what I try to do is negotiate with them is to fix their problems and in exchange I install this fancy screensaver that does cancer and disease research. Most people think that that is a great deal! It lets me gradually add more and more computers to the farm, and they pay the electric bills to run the farm to boot!
Of course it helps that I have an evening computer repair business and I also build new systems. I have also given businesses that I work with special deals if they run the DC clients. Both of us are then happy.
Don't do any more FREE work, make their computer pay your bill if they can't!
