i no people keep touching on this subject but are people just shy to post in here for like the past few days i have been there has been nothing new going on.

couldnt people just have discussions about wat they love most here. like i love to talk about my computers but dont in here because nobody ever replies to me. or others.

if we are going to recruit more people i think the first step would to provide a warmer atmosphere like in the powermac forums i mean:
quick responses
friendly people
usefull hints and tips
friendly banta wouldnt be to bad to give the air of friendship with a few good laughs.

just tryin to give a bit of help from someone who feels left out here and if it wasnt for my mounting points here would have moved on already.
oh and will someone please help with this:http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...hreadid=193447?

Well, we have the other forums for random, friendly banter. We try to keep it to DC-related threads, in here.

As for your question in the thread you linked to, make sure that each client is located in a different folder and running with the -local flag. Also, it would help if each client had a different client ID assigned to it.

thank you very kind and it works now

and have you noticed the volume of the other threads im not suggesting divulging from the d/c clients merely be more friendly funnier nicer and faster in response to the questions for d/c

is this a lost cause for trying to inject something back into this team?

How about sub-forums?
Or at least one "other" forum?

Milestone threads will be updated tonight. I took the data last night, but it was close to midnight when they finished - and I had to investigate the Lifemapper project.

About general yakk, the team forum is a little different from others, such as our frequent visitors from other teams. If it's cool with Scott, I'd be fine with some more general chatter. That would normally go to the Lounge, but if you're like me, I hardly ever go there.
