Just warning you all that I'll be out of town from March 30th to April 4th.
I haven't had any problems lately, but they always seem to happen when I'm gone.

If there are any server problems, contact reader50, he can page me.

It is a school trip, so even if I do get paged, it could be almost a day before I get to it.

I'll be in Minneapolis, Minnesota, btw.

What kind of school trip is it? Are you going to have any free evenings? We should go grab a bite to eat or get a drink or something. You know, throw together some evil plots about how we are going to destroy those pesky OCers...

What do you think?

Somewhere between 15 and 20 students in the honors society I'm in are going to the international convention.
I doubt I'll have any free time. Also, we aren't allowed to travel anywhere without an advisor , so I won't be going off on my own anywhere.

I hear you all are having a bus strike, which just plain stinks, because we were going to visit the mall of america, but without the bus we probably can't.

Thx for the offer though.

What? That sucks. You guys are all college students, right? And all older than 18? Sounds like they are treating you like you are still in high school... It's too bad your advisor isn't like my old CS prof who I went to Reno with, last year. We went for a CS conference but spent the nights gambling away.

Yeah, the strike has been going on for about a month, now. It's made everything a royal pain. No one is really sure how long it is going to last... You might be ok with the trip to the mall, though. The bus strike mainly affects the downtown busses. Those that are going to the suburbs have still been running. I'm not sure which category the Mall of America busses fall in, but there's a good chance you might be ok.

Yeah, sorry your advisors are being overbearing. If for some reason they lighten up and you want to hit a happening food-place, pool hall, or bar or something, shoot a PM my way.

It's the advisors that are the reason for the restrictions. Annoying, but I don't need to get into trouble on a school trip that the school is paying for. The three students from the campus I go to had to fight to meet at the airport instead of the main campus. It's the same distance to drive to either one, but for one we can leave much later. In the end, we won, so it means I get to wake up at 6am instead of leaving at 6am

We are staying in down town at the convention center. The hotel people said the bus isn't running. I'll check when we get there.

They won't, but I'll see. Most nights go until midnight as it is, and mornings start at 8am. There's a chance you'll get a PM, but don't be expecting one.

Yeah, I wouldn't ask you to defy them just to sneak out at night.

Anyway, have a great trip!
