I've just spent the last couple of weeks on a work unit, and somewhere in between it completing and getting a new unit, it has been lost - no update on the stats server. As I don't use the command line client due to laziness, I have no idea what happened to it. Bit frustrating after all this time. It was also just within the alloted time frame I think but not sure. If outside then pretty obvious, but what happened otherwise?

Ok found out the reason - it couldn't connect to the work server - any way to make it do so after the event?

It will retry to upload finished work every 6 hours if you leave it running. Otherwise launch it with the tag -send all:

./folding -local -send all

Omit the -local part if you use the default work folder location. Adjust the filename as needed to whatever you have renamed folding as.

Also, be aware that uploaded work does not always show on their stats server until many hours later.

Is it just me, or is their webiste down?

Would that not explain why my program still can't send in results?

Ok now the next unit went, but the one before is still in the queue. What on earth? Every time it trys it fails to send. Bizarre!

I'm going to guess and say that it is a tinker unit since it took so long to complete. If this is the case its probably trying to reach server .143 This server has been acting up for a long time. A thread about this server is ongoing at http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?t=7246

The server is running again but at a very high load so you may have problems connecting to it even though it is online.

Thank you!

Hopefully by the time my next 6 hour mark comes around it'll be back down to normal again
