I've noticed the server on the macnn team is 15 work units behind ... it has me stuck in the same spot for the last 24 hrs or so ... is this normal?

The SETI stats servers have been problematic for the past week. I don't know why - they have not posted anything about it in their technical news.

At the bottom of the QuickStats bar, you can see the time our stats last pulled an update.

Oops, just checked it myself. 2.4 days out of date, that is getting bad.

Over the last few days, I've been adjusting my local stats copies to use the setiathome2 server. Everything finally worked last night, so I uploaded the modified scripts just now. For good measure, I've kicked in a database repair run on the SETI tables.

With luck, the SETI section will settle back down now. Be advised that Berkeley had their stats servers down on Monday for upgrades, and their CGI scripts remained off through sometime Tuesday, before becoming available on the setiathome2 server.
