Has anyone seen this new project over at http://www.climateprediction.net/ ? A co-worker of mine showed it to me a few days ago and it looked interesting. As of yet there is only a Windows client, but it seems like a neat project. Keep an eye out, I guess.
edit: Now that I think about it I'm guessing most of you had seen this, as it was posted on Slashdot.

Climate Prediction is also the first project expected to move to BOINC after SETI. If that happens, there will likely be Mac and Linux clients in fairly short order. Work takes a long time to process though. Think in terms of weeks, not hours.

I kinda asked this in the other thread Quick SETI-BOINC update, but what is BOINC? I'm gathering that it's som e cross-platform API for networked computing that allows easy portability to other operating systems while remaining uniformly compatable with eachother?
