Excellent.
Did you successfully return some work units?
He is referring to seti boinc on 10.2.8 for those of you lurking.

Do you mean recived WU or already processed ? I did received 9 WU and it is currently
crunching. The current running WU should be done in about 5-6 hours I guess according to my benchmarks. I will see later in the morning if uploading works fine too.

Ok. Let us know if you manage to complete and send back the WUs.
No reason you shouldn't be able to.
Good luck getting new work units tomorrow, looks like they are about to run out again(see the news on http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ).

Everything looks fine
It uploaded fine this afternoon but the file is still in the folder waiting to be reported.
The scheduler seems to be off at the moment. processing went well, my machine didn't show any signs of stability problems and things. I guess we can now be confident that your new compiled version is 100% operational and could be spread out to public. If you wish to do so.
I could not run the program non stop so it is hard to tell how long it takes to process one WU. My estimated time before complition I have posted yesterday was a little bit lower than actual performance. I guess it tooks about 10-12 hours to complete. The same has with the non boinc OS X GUI version I use to run before.
Just for comparaison My presario 2800 laptop P4M 1.4 GHz makes it in 5-6 hours. I hoped that the G4 would have a better overall per cycle performance than my little P4M bugger but it's not. May be the program is not taking full advantage of the G4 ressources.
Cheers
Marc

Great news. Thanks for your feedback that helped to identify the problem as well.
And neither the SETI or Predictor applications are really optimzed yet, so what optimizations can be done mostly effect the core client. It will be up to the projects to optimize their own particular applications.
The more Mac crunchers on a project, the better chance we might see it someday, but don't expect it soon. Too many bigger problems to be resolved first.
