Ben's Bargains listed a $20 ($110 before mail-in rebates) barebones kit today:
  • Up to Athlon XP 3000+ (Barton core)
  • Up to 2gb of PC 2700 RAM
  • 6 USB 2.0 ports
  • 4x/8x AGP
  • 2 PCI ports
  • Onboard video (shared memory up to 32mb)
  • 350 watt powersupply
I've never built a PC before but for $20 I might as well take the plunge. Over the next month or two I'll build this sucker and see what I can come up with stats wise .

THe mail-in rebates expire today but they're good as long as postmarked by September 13th, so you've only got a day to decide...

Just the board, case and PSU?

Meh... I'd rather throw together something from NewEgg for around the same price and get better quality components and a board with some meatier upgradability.

Quite a price though.
