Hello Everyone! Running Setiathome v.4.13 by way of freeware Seti Control. I'm NOT a CLI expert, but was able to get it up and running with help from the message board at Setiathome. Currently floating around 525 average units. Are any of the MacNN versions more efficient? I'm using a G5 dual 1.8. I have two things on my desktop now that I downloaded from MacNN. One is an icon that looks like a single page with a dogear and says boinc_4.13_ppcG5. The other looks like a folder and says Worker_G5Optimized_altivec. I'd like a little speed boost, if possible. Am I looking at the right things here, or am I totally lost? Thanks!!

The boinc_4.13_ppcG5 file is the Boinc Client.
The Worker_G5Optimized_altivec is the altivec Seti worker.
The Boinc client goes in your boinc directory, wherever your current boinc_4.13_powerpc_apple_darwin file is.
The Seti worker goes in your boinc directory in projects in setiathome.berkeley.edu directory along with the app_info.xml file you should have gotten with it.

I'm not familiar with Seti Control, but chances are it expects a specific name for the boinc client it watches. You are on your own there, but you probably need to replace the current boinc client with the optimized one and change the name of it to be the same as the one Seti Control expects.
