I have some XPboxes that I hope to use to catch up with Wolf that just raced past me. But due to the noise level of 3GHz P4 in small boxes I would very much to prefer them to start and stop at set times. Is this possible to do in XP pro?
The computers are also Retrospect clients that are backed up each night, interfering with that is a no no! (Manually started F@H does not interfere with the client, but it does screw up the server, I found that out the hard way

I have not tried any of them but there are some cron programs written for Windows that I think will work with XP. Might try one of those if you have a machine you can test it on.

I got very helpful answers in the arstechnica forum and it works quite well.
I got zipped past by Wulf in F@H, and I am still not up to speed to race with him, but I am working on that
The depratement next door is talking about throwing out some computer, wish me luck
