I'm on the MacNN team for SETI Classic and have noticed the stats page hasn't been updated. The MacNN logo is gone and the stats page returns a Not Found error. Has Team MacNN given up on SETI Classic altogether?

I was going to keep running it until it shut down and the screensaver was working properly on BOINC (maybe it is now, but I was still going to wait until Classic was history).

What's up?

I just checked it and they seem to be running fine. Last update was 17-18 minutes ago. It was probably just a temporary server glitch, or maybe they had to restart. Try checking again.

Nope, still shows the same error:

"Not Found

The requested URL /stats/team/team_62645.html was not found on this server."

How are you reaching them? It's been like that for at least a week for me. First I go to the SETI Classic home page (http://seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu/).

1. Then in the User Zone section I click the link for "User account".

2. On the following page, I put my email address into the "Look-up Your Personal Stats" section.

3. I get to my account page, and in the "Your group info" section I click on the Team MacNN link.

All it gives me is the error I've shown above.

Does it work with you for that method? I'm referring to Classic here, not BOINC.

Okay, my mistake, I thought you were referring to the Team MacNN Stats located at
http://teamstats.macnn.com/seti1/stats.php

The team stats pages on the SETI Classic website do seem to be down. The individual pages are working. Are you showing any work being reported on your individual pages? It is a weekend, so I would expect any answers or fixes until Monday. There are several reports in the SETI Classic forum, so maybe they will fix it. Apparently the XML files are still available so independent stats sites should show the results. Do check out the team stats link above.

If it's down, just post a holler to Reader 50, and either he or Scott will give the server a swift kick.

Yes, I individual page at the SETI Classic site has my latest results, just the teams stats don't work.

As I write this though, neither do the MacNN teams stats here. The page never loads in the link you gave. D'oh!

Yeah, someone did something. No one bothers sending me any memos about it. I'm out of kicking range, too.

Scott, it was working early yesterday, but does seem to be completly down now. Out of kicking range??? Darn. Well hope you're having fun at least.

The Berkeley stats pages for interteam stats were inoperative for about a week. Looks like some of their stats scripts stopped running. Then they came back up a few days ago.

Separately, our own stats became unavailable, as Scott mentioned. There was no connection between the two.

Hmmm....if they were working again recently, they seem to be down now. The team stats at the SETI Classic site give the same script error they did when I first reported it in this thread, as of this writing.

I was out of town for a week and didn't check while I was away, so I must have missed it when they were working.

Looks like they finally fixed the scripts, they've been up for at least a week now. I'm glad, I'm waiting to move to BOINC for awhile until it becomes a more mature application.
