I have aquired some free pentium III boxes mostly with 128 MB RAM, they all have crummy Win98 installation with lots of apps on them.

I want to run them as set and forget boxes and W98 is a bit to unstable for that. I can do clean installs of Win NT4, Win 2000 pro or Win XP pro and then run F@H 24/7. Running behind firewalls security updates etc is not that important.

Any suggestions on wich win to run?
I am allmost in the top ten of the team but with such powerhouses as jbcool, Dustin_17 and Justin HoMi I better ty to wring out every MHz I can muster

Might as well go 2000, it doesn't have much overhead over NT4 and is easier to work with, and just for good measure you can still turn on automatic updates
http://devel.bluetentacle.co.uk/dc/fahservice/ to run it as a service.

I agree, run Windows 2K, much more stable and will run folding @ home as a service.
