Hi all,

Machine Name: Power Mac G5 Quad
Machine Model: PowerMac11,2
CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (1.1)
Number Of CPUs: 4
CPU Speed: 2.5 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB
Memory: 2.5 GB
Bus Speed: 1.25 GHz

I have switched to CPDN and been running it for about a week, RAC has shot up (815.14 as I write this).

It all downloaded and installed ok but there have been a couple of small probs, but all four wu's have kept on going ok.

prob 1/ was on initial download, the fourth wu didn't come down until a few hours after the other three. The second one, though this may be normal, was when I ran the graphics on a single wu I got a exit o msg and the wu restarted. Seems fine and no reset of the cpu times, %% etc.

Only other problam at the moment is there seems to be a glich on the web site and trickles not updateing, but that seems ok now to.

Disc space usage is very high, currently at 4.38 gb and creeping up.

If you download, DON"T FORGET to download and install the libcpdn.pkg. Seems many are forgetting to do this and then wondering why they have problems.

Still a long 5 phase wu time :-

1494.40 to completion
= 62.26 days
=8.895 weeks

But hey, saving the planet right!

CPDN dev now have a Dual 2.0 ghz G5, so we can hope to start seeing more stable and better optimised versions coming along.

Happy -Xmas/crunching- (or delete as appropriate)

K.

This is good news. The last I'd heard, they had disabled multi-CPU support because they couldn't solve the problems. Sounds like they didn't give up after all.
