I've been told to address this forum as the more knowledgle about running BOINC on macs.

I'm running Climate Prediction on a G4 with OS 10.3.9. I used to run SETI without a problem.

I followed all the instructions, installed the library for mac first, and then installed BOINC. It seems to run ok, screensaver is ok but if I reboot the computer or even quit BOINC, all my progress and CPU time returns to zero!!

A colleague running it on a G5 with 10.4 seems to be doing ok.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Running CPDN on Mac seems to me to be fraught with problems. After much effort I have had to give it up. My main problem was that the zip file it sends up after stage one, would not go up, as far as I could tell.

If you haven't done so already, post your question to mac questions and problems page on the CPDN web site.

You could check your 'permissions' with the disk utility and check that the CPDN prefrences match to your machine. Memory allocation etc.
