Hi everybody, I'm new and French and my english is not very good.
I've got 2 iMac G5 at home :
- iMac PowerPC G5 (v3.1) 2 GHz with 2 Go RAM (iMac G5 Rev. B)
- iMac PowerPC G5 (v3.1) 1,9 GHz with 512 Mo RAM (iMac G5 Rev. C)
The CPU Benchmarks (with your BOINC AltiVec optimized client v5.2.13) for these computers are :
• iMac G5 Rev. B :
- Measured floating point speed : 2645.3 million ops/sec
- Measured integer speed : 8731.11 million ops/sec
• iMac G5 Rev. C :
- Measured floating point speed : 4995.37 million ops/sec
- Measured integer speed : 17776.2 million ops/sec
The processor of the iMac G5 Rev. B is better than the processor of the iMac G5 Rev. C (normally).
So, I've got a question :
"Why the CPU Benchmarks of the iMac G5 Rev. C are twice superior than the CPU Benchmarks of the iMac G5 Rev. B ?"
Thanks and have a nice day
