Ok so I just got started with Seti@home BOINC yesterday. It crunched a bunch of units (like 4 or so) and now it's idle. My result page says that all my packets were successfully uploaded to the server. How do I download new work units?

How have you set the connection preferences (connect every…) on your boinc profile at SETI?

Have you tried (if you use the Manager version) in the project part to update seti? Try.

Have you room enough on your drive?

2 possibilities:

- there's no WU available for you at the time you connect
- there's something at fault and you should disconnect/connect to the project.

Give the first option a few hours, then apply plan B.

Ah yes I tried detaching and reattaching the project and now it works. I hope I don't have to do that too often though

From my personal experience, it happens only when something happens that somehow doesn't make either BOINC or the project server happy (and usually you don't know what), or when you change a BOINC or a project client version.
