Hey girls and boys

Is it me or the screensaver is not working the way it should ?

- it can't seem to start up (goes black, show some tenth of seconds garbage ten back to the desktop.
- when I ask to see the graphics inside BOINC I only see the garbage (everything incompletely drawn)

uh oh?

I don't ask in the SETI forums, it's rather mac-unfriendly…

Need to ask in the right places. Apparently some others are having the same problem.

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum...d.php?id=30197 which is the "Questions & Problems" forum under Macintosh. I haven't used the screensaver, so don't know what the issue might be. Might try checking your preferences for the screensaver (under system preferences, not under BOINC). Try deselecting and reselecting BOINC as the screensaver.

Thanks, what bothers me the most is this "look" was the one I had already with the offical BOINC and seti client when running the graphics inside BOINC, but the screensaver was ok. This it it's both and the screensaver seems unstable.

I'll have a look and i'll try the trick.

tried, tested and the same.

I've posted in the question and answers too, to add details. Let's hope it helps. And let's praise for a graphics free optimzed enhanced as soon as our geniuses can do it.
