Well Zombie, no 8 core Mac Pros for us. At least not yet. I'm actually sort of relieved (as is my bank account bottom line).

Any guesses on how long it'll be before we see the Mac Pro revved to include those new four-core Intel Xeon procs?

Yeah...dangit.


I remember reading/hearing somewhere that business machines are never/rarely introduced at Macworld. Not sure it it is true in general, but it was for this one. In any case, my expectations were low. However, I would not be surprised if they quietly added them to the Apple Store sometime in the next month or two.

I would not mind seeing a quad core iMac showing up in there either!!

Apple has most often used MWSF for introducing consumer hardware, such as iMac upgrades, or the Mini. However, they've often used it for a bit of overything. This keynote was very unusual.
