Is anyone running a mac pro quad having any problems with boinc? Never had any problems on my mini or imac but seems to have problems on my mac pro. When I pause WCG, I will look at activity monitor and see one WU is still going even though on boinc it shows everything paused. Happens every couple of days. I have 2gb ram (2x512) installed, two on each riser. I kept having crashes and apple replaced my hd. Not sure if this is happening again though. tnks

version 5.4.9 . I had the higher version before and total crashes but not sure if it was my hard drive or something else. My mac pro is a 2ghz refurb. I orderd another hard drive (maxtor) and will move everything over to that one and see how it goes. I only notice this when I leave it alone for a couple days and pause it to do other things. It acts slow so look at activity monitor and one WU is still going even though I pause boinc. I then shut down, fire it back up and goes nice and strong. Beats me. Starting to think the mac pro doesn't like these 512mb moduels or the WD hard drives.

I just checked this one and found Boinc 5.8.17 running Climate Prediction work units suspends all four units on this Mac Pro. Paused from the Activity menu, Boinc icon on the menu bar, and from the Dock. Sorry, not much help.
