CPDN main project
Remember that if a multicore computer runs a full load of HadAM3P models simultaneously they can be expected to compete for resources and slow each other down. It's usually best to run a mix of different model types.
It has also been found that HadAM3P even when run solo processes rather slowly on at least some Macs. Tolu has explained that this model cannot be speeded up on Macs. Mac users may wish to look at the speed their HadAM3Ps run at. The guideline is that all CPDN model types should earn a similar number of credits per hour (though the sec/timestep figure will be very different for each model type). If necessary you can select different model type(s) for your next download. Select them in the climateprediction preferences of your account.
