Hello everyone,

I have 2 (sometimes 3 or 4) computers at my disposal:

Mine
1 G4 Cube @ 500Mhz
1 iBook 500Mhz
Others
1 Graphite iBook (forget speed)
1 iBook 600Mhz

I could try and get some more on board, but those are the only givens at the moment. I am on the seti team (AjJ), and am happily crunching those units. However, should i reassign the G4 to RC5? Where is the power needed most? I am on dial-up on all these machines.

All the best, and I am at your disposal...(but bear in mind my time invested into seti )

Well, we need some competitions first before we can say we "Need" you. I'd put the G4 on RC%5 because it is s ogood at it.

Personally, I'd put the others on Ubero, just because the team is starting up there. I hope we start a competition with someone there soon.
Actual conversation between UCLA and Stanford during a login on early Internet - U: I'm going to type an L! Did you get an L? S: I got one-one-four. L! U:Did you get the O? S: One-one-seven. U: <types G> S: The computer just crashed.

Yes it does.

I'd say SETI since we are being passed by other teams, something we'd like to see stopped

We are doing very, very well in RC5 at the moment. To see just how well, check out this beta page I'm playing with. You have to go halfway to the top to get out of the green, and most of the rest of the way to find most of the people we are not gaining on.

Ubero ... I think we are doing well there, it is hard to say exactly. Ubero Ranks could be done now except for a data acquisition problem that I've contacted the Ubero people about.

We are getting burned on Seti. You could trade your G4 production on RC5 with someone interested who can give you more Seti units in exchange than you could crunch with the G4 yourself. But we definitely need more power on Seti.

At our current rate we're still 50 days away from braking into the top 100 teams. Would be nice to get there sooner.

I have a couple of Celeron 500s and a G3/400 I could bring online if I could stand the noise. This office already sounds like a server room...
