hey all,

I'd be interested in running the dnetc client in memory, rather than storing the buffers to disk. I've got a Gig of ram in my iMac and I'm getting anoyed hearing my hard drive spinning up so often from it's sleep state.

I tried option 2 -> option 1 once, but it sat their idle using a half a percent of CPU. It runs much higher when buffering from disk. Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Rich

If you're running OS 9, wouldn't you just make a ram disk, then copy the whole Dnetc folder to it?

If you're running OS X with the CLI client in Terminal, then I have no idea.
