A race has been proposed in this thread. It seems to be catching on, so a Competition stats engine should be set up.

I did not post anything earlier because the original proposed rules called for a 4-machine (or was it CPU?) limit per person. With no RC5 proxy data available, there was no obvious way to enforce that. Apparently, we will have to trust each person involved, or drop that limitation.

Some information is needed to set the race up.

Is it a crunching race, beginning from where each person is now? Or is it a race to a particular milestone, with a person's existing units counting? Or something different?
When does the race begin?
What is the finish condition, a particular total, a specific day, when someone opens up a large enough lead, something different?
Does Arkham_c's race thread refer to the same race ... should he be included?
Can other people join the race after it has started? This one may depend on what kind of race it is.
Please post opinions here. I expect to set the code up this weekend, to conform to whatever rules are settled upon here.

Oviously many of us don't have access to more than one machine. I only have my iBook.

In a realm beyond site, the sky shines gold, not blue, there the Triforce's might makes mortal dreams come true.
