Quick quesion about a potential problems:
I am currently using Cox Cable as my ISp, but they block all outgoing transactions on port 80 (is that right? http port.). I have a Win2k server providing a portal for my computers. Previously, I was unable to upload information to SETI because I believe that it was attempting to transfer info via port 80. Can anyone verify this for me? If ths is the case, then is there a way to transfer via a different port?
Any help would be wonderful.

Sure, we can get around that quite easily.
How many computers do you have?
You can set them up to use the team proxy, which is seti.macnn.com:5517
If you can give me some info, like what OSes, and what clients you are running, I'll be able to get you running.

Sure thing:
Cox via Win2k Pro portal.
1) Dual 500 G4 with OSX 10.1.3
2) 6100/66 DOS with System 7.5.5
Questions:
1) Should I setup multiple accounts for the different machines, or will one account work for both?
2) I have an account from a long time ago. Can I transfer my processing to Macnn?
Thanks dude

if you remember all your old account information then just head on over to http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/s...eam_62645.html click on the "Join team" link, enter your email address and password, (if you forgot you can have them email it to you) once you've signed on our team, any and all old work units will transfer to our team. so if you've done 400 units then those 400 will transfer with you to our team and count in our team total.

personally, id keep one account for all your machines.
Although when i get my 6100/60 in the next few days, im going to give it its own account. That way people might be a little more motivated to crunch more when they see that they are about to be passed by a 60mhz computer. but hey thats just me. You can do whatever you want.
welcome to the team!!
