I finished three WUs yesterday. I got credit for only one of them.

I used the team's Seti proxy yesterday since that was the only way I could get thru after 9 am PST. Does the proxy get to keep the WU credit for itself, or is this related to the problem listed on the server status page?

If this persists, I'll switch to rc5.

The team proxy is affected by the same slowdown.
It's set to connect for 4 hrs every night, with it's priority being to get new work units. It was unable to fill up it's buffers before it went back offline, so it didn't dump any results. It currently has 34 work units buffered and waiting to be sent in to seti. That will probably happen tonight.

What software/OS does the SETI proxy server run? I'm interested in how it all works. Did someone have to write software that stores work units and then syncs them with the SETI servers? I'm not a programmer in the slightest, so I guess this may be a little easier than I would assume from my novice standpoint.

Okay. Is there a reason that the name is set to a blank and the units completed and CPU time is set to zero from the proxy?

It runs a third party app that was written independently of SETI@home. It's named SETIQ. It runs on Windows NT4 (Yes, it's a windows app. All other team stuff runs on linux or OSX).

Yes. The proxy doesn't know anything until it sends the first work unit in to the main SETI server. Since it hasn't done that yet, it will show blank. They will be resolved when the proxy uploads it's work units.
