I have been running foldit for the last few hours and expected the client to update at the 10,000 unit mark...

I have just checked and noticed that the server was down (maintaence) when I reached 10,000 and it kept crunching up to 13,000, however I have just tried to force an update (q key) and got the same server message, and the client then shutdown...

Doe anyone know if will it keep my units until the server is back up and then upload them, or have lost them??

Cheers,

Marc

The finished units should be kept in queue. My guess is the client upgrade is what wiped them out.

By some minor miracle, the stats have just appeared im my total!! I have no idea how or when they uploaded, as at no time did it say it was doing anything with my data! My guess is that sent the stats when the upgrade was implemented...however, I can't be sure, but there are certainly no complaints from me

Just shows it's good to be patient with DC sites... RC5 sometimes takes days to catch up with the stats.

If you experience problems, be sure to go to the official dFold forum. Howard has been really good at responding to problems there. Also he has posted instructions there on how to manually upload completed structures that may not have uploaded but are still in your folder.

Lots of other good info there at times too.

I experienced the same thing this AM. I tried to force one of my machines to upload before work, and when it couldn't connect, it shut down. Hopefully my other three just kept crunching until the server came back up. I did enable auto update. I won't know until I get home though. Hey, with at least one computer off-line, now is a good chance for some of you to catch up a little.

Update: Two of my computers were off line for about 6 hours, but no one caught up.
