I have had the darwin distributed.net client running for 281hours. Or actually the client has gotten 281 hours of CPU time. I'm not really sure of how long my G4 has actually been running. I can't believe how many work units I have been able to do since the client is constantly on. It'll be a sad sad day when I have to restart my G4 for an updatre, or worse yet a irrepairable crash. I'll be sure to let you know the time dnetc gets up to.
So whats the longest anyone else has run their SETI, Ubero, or FAH client? And does anyone know how to tell how long the computer has been on for?

Thanks for the tip. By now dnetc has run for 11.75 days (282 hours), out of a total of 12.5 days of uptime.

I set a stupid record
I just dumped 34K blocks to a wrong email address.
I had an extra period.
Do I get a prize?

Doh! Is there a terminal command for OOPSTIME?
That hurts.
The Darwin client is stable, to say the least. My uptimes average 7-8 days, and I keep it running 24/7. It's never crashed, since October.

You get my broken G3 upgrade card, the one I sat on. Please include $4 S&H.

Agreed. It has never crashed on me. I only stop it when I want to watch a movie or play a game (very rarely). Heh, actually RC5 kinda killed my game playing. Myth 2 + RC5 + Classic = Molasses. I guess RC5 was more important.

I agree that darwin is incredibly stable. Although I did have one instance of Kernal panic. (where the darwin layer writes text on the screen right before is bombs) But that was because i was using the Terminal to look at all the files and folders that make up Darwin that are hidden by Apple to keep OS X easy to use. Now I know not to try to read compiled applications as test.
PS 295 hours

It's official. At 8:20 I will have to turn off my G4 and leave it off for about a week. By that time OS X will have been running for 21 days 14 hours (518 hours). And the dnet client will have gotten 493 hours of CPU time, with an average %CPU of 95.2%. It seems like all those times I let dnetc run under >console helped it to be very CPU intensive.
