Hey Reader,

Just noticed that the daily stats have me at only 33,331 structures produced for the past 24 hours, but I did nearly 10 times that many. Is this just a temporary glitch, or something to be looked at. Likewise jbcool's stats are way below his production. Some of the other numbers didn't make sense either for other users.

It also had me way low yesterday, when you started them up, but I figured that maybe it was just a startup oddity.

That aside, the team is doing great.

I think this is what is happening:
The figure Avg/day is your average over a week or so. It is not yesterday's production. It just seems low because you probably did very little in the first few days of the past week, or because data was not yet collected for the stats. It'll catch up in a few days when there is a full week of data to calculate from.

Sounds reasonable, except I have been running longer than anyone except Reader 50 and Scott, and slipjack showed nearly 4 times my production, so it doesn't appear to have averaged his production. Looked the same way yesterday too, except my daily numbers where higher then, but slipjacks were much higher, even though actual production doesn't show that. Just doesn't seem to add up. Well, maybe it will settle down in a few days.

I assume this refers to Personal Stats.

Grozni Majmun is correct about the Avg figure. Avg per day is your production since 7 days ago, divided by 7. The stats have 3 days of production on you, and they missed your first day.

However, there seems to be a bug, rates are all too low, and I can see errors in the data files. It's too late now to tear into the code and recompile the data files, I'll fix it tomorrow.

You can see your Yesterday production by checking the Yesterday Active table, that data looks kosher. But I'll check that code tomorrow too, just in case.

Edit: Weekly Active table is wrong too, the bug is in the Weekly code. Will fix tomorrow evening. ( that would be later today )

The code bug is fixed. One line can do a lot of damage.

The data files have been recompiled, and everything should be kosher now. Note that Personal rates will still be a little off for everyone but myself. Everyone else joined less than 7 days ago except Scott, who powered up a day or two ago.

Shaktai, as one of the first joiners, your rates should be getting close to accurate now. We have 5 days tracking on the first group. More recent joiners will show lower rates than actual. Whenever I rewrite the Personals module, that problem will vanish.

If anyone notices further oddness in the data, please give a holler. It is easier to fix errors the sooner you catch them.

It does look better now. Much closer to accurate and I imagine it will balance out in a few days.

It will be interesting to see what everyone's rates really are!

I just added some machines today so my av will continue to climb for a while. Hopefully, jbcool and Shaktai are done adding crunchers for now.

Watch out for DAlex. He just joined the fray and is crunching some awesome numbers if the stats are anywhere near right.

Yep I've been keeping an eye on your progress. I still see you back there flashing your lights. I added the last processor yesterday to
try and keep ahead. I'm done adding crunchers until I get rid of some
old equipment. If you guys start beating me up to bad I'll have to dust
off those AIX machines until I get a real job.

Naw, that sounds too much like real work. :o
Tag ur it.

Don't plan on adding any more boxes, just trying to figure out if it might be worthwhile and cost effective to upgrade what I got. Let's see now, if I could get an extra 20% out of my PC crunchers........ I might not have gotten dusted quite so quick.
