I've downloaded it, uninstalled my old version, and instllaed the new. I'm still going to use the same memory tweak script as before.
It;s got a new settings window, looks like. Should I set Coordinating Port to 443? Right now it's at 80, and I rememberr that causing problems.

OK. I've been running on the new Java for Mac OS X, with the new version of Ubero, with the memory tweak. Significanty faster than when I started.
On my iMac 500:
Old Java, Ubero .7, no tweak = 70 units/day
Old Java, Ubero .7, tweak = 110 units/day
New Java, Ubero .7, -server = 80 units/day
New Java, Ubero .7.1, tweak = 130 units/day
I'm not sure why the -server option didn't help me.

I installed Ubero on both my Mac and my PC in January, and they're both already at version 0.7.1 . Are those really version 0.7.1 or is it .7.0? Should I ugrade?

Basically, some type of code that improves the processing capabilities and speed. Not being a techie, I don't know the specific details but it works. It is included in the MDC3 setup client that you can find in the BETA Testers thread. There are several versions, use the latest. My iBook 600 running uninterrupted will do from 100-110 work units per day using the CLI setup by MDC3. The setup client will setup Ubero, RC-5, and SETI. Be aware though that it is "BETA" software, and use at your own risk. It worked for me though.

I've downloaded that and does it tweak it for you or do you have to do something for it to work?

It worked well for me on my ibook 600 and power mac 800 without any additional tweaks. However they are working on an improved version.
