I just got a PC at work. Its a 900MHz Celaron 256 MB of RAM running XP. XP is interesting, it would seem like, instead of getting "illegal instructions" all the time like classic windows does, and quitting the app, instead, XP instantly hard-restarts your computer every time it gets an error. Brand new, right out of the box, not even on the internet, with only photoshop 6 installed, it does that all the time. Not to mention I can go make copies while doing something as simple as an image resize. It is truly no contest, how much faster my dual 533 runs photoshop. Even drawing a line across the page requires you to wait a second while the line is slowly drawn. That all has little to do with this thread I wanna put dnet on this Crappy as soon as it gets on the net. Now I heard someone say one time how you can run dnet on PC's as a service so you can't see it running at all, I assume there is SOME way to see, but not just by looking. (Not on the right edge of the dock-wannabe-taskbar ) . They know me, the know i got my own internet shut off twice so they are probably going to be paying close attention to my machine. I know little about windows, and thats the way I like it. So the more detail the better here. Thanks...
