This is probably been answered before, but I couldn't find it. What software is being used for the SETI proxy?

On OS X you can install setiproxy

I have it at http://macaddict4life.dhs.org/setiproxyosx.pkg.tar.gz

Once installed, just go to http://127.0.0.1:8083 an you can admin it (web based admin).

It worked very well for me when I ran seti- I used it as a proxy for an OS X box, OS 9 box, and two linux boxes.

You will want to restrict the admin access, though, if you run it on a machine that can be accessed from the internet.

Go to http://127.0.0.1:8083/adminusers.html to activate passwd protection for admin purposes.

I should note- for this proxy to work, first you have to have a client that has a work unit. Then you tell that client to use this proxy (the proxy runs on port 8081 ).

After the client accesses this proxy, you can THEN tell this proxy to cache units for you .

Minor annoyance, but once its done- it's done.

I suspect you meant what software was used for the team SETI proxy. It's a windoze app called SetiQueue, and Scott handles that end of things. There is no Mac version available at the moment, or a Linux version.
